Strike action Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May 2023
Members of the National Education Union #NEU have voted to take strike action this Thursday 27th April and again on Tuesday 2nd May. This is part of a national dispute and will impact on all schools in the country. The NEU is the largest teachers’ union and has a significant number of members at Moat CC.
Change to School Hours for 2023/24 - Consultation
The government recently changed their guidance around the length of the school day. To ensure that we are compliant we need to lengthen our school day by five minutes from August 2023.

On Wednesday evening, the Year 9 cricket team participated in the indoor cricket school games.
Year 10 students visit Houses of Parliament
The students were able to see Parliament in session, discussing the banning of female aid workers in Afghanistan. It was an inspiring visit for our future leaders.

Year 9 students learn about media bias with The Guardian Foundation
Yesterday, students in 9X1 took part in the Media Literacy Ambassador Training delivered by The Guardian Foundation. As part of the training, our students were taught about media bias/manipulation and the prevalence of 'fake news' in the press.
