Uniform rules and expectations: Advice for parents and carers

We are all very proud of our school. Our uniform when worn correctly, unifies us, gives us a common identity and sets us apart from others. We have deliberately kept our uniform simple, affordable and accessible for all; therefore, I am keen to ensure that it is worn correctly and with pride. As a school with a uniform, there is a clear expectation that all students should strictly adhere to the school uniform policy. This document is intended to offer you some practical advice and guidance on the most common issues and causes for concern regarding school uniform at Moat Community College. Hopefully, it will answer your questions and make the school’s position clear.

Notes on uniform

Students must remove all items of jewellery before participating in physical activity, for safety reasons.
During the winter months, students are allowed to wear extra layers but not wear their coat/jacket for PE.
