Progress 8
Progress 8 (P8) is a value-added performance measure for English secondary schools that assesses how much progress pupils make between the end of primary school (Key Stage 2) and their GCSEs (Key Stage 4). It compares a pupil's GCSE results in a set of eight subjects to the results of other pupils who had a similar starting point at age 11.

Attainment 8 2024-2025
Attainment 8 measures a student's average grade across eight subjects – the same subjects that count towards Progress 8. This measure is designed to encourage schools to offer a broad, well-balanced curriculum. The eight subjects fit into three groups: English and maths. These are double-weighted, which means they count twice.
2024-25 Attainment 8: 44.1
